After studying public relations at the University of Sunderland, Michael Eppy specialised in arts PR before graduation with a placement at West Yorkshire Playhouse in his third year. He went on to become their press assistant on graduation. Michael then worked at Sheffield Theatres and Theatre Royal Wakefield before moving to work for Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival - expanding his experience of different art forms.
At Brighton Festival he worked under Guest Artistic Directors Anish Kapoor, Brian Eno and Aung San Suu Kyi and on commissions by artists including dreamthinkspeak, Hydrocracker, Howard Goodall, Rimini Protocol, Fanafare Ciocarlia, Hofesh Shechter, Fevered Sleep and Neil Bartlett.
After Brighton Festival he worked at Glyndebourne including new productions directed by Melly Still, Laurent Pelly and Michael Grandage. Michael then moved to London to work at Soho Theatre where he has worked with companies including Ontroerend Goed, HighTide Festival Theatre, OperaUpClose and with artists including Bryony Kimmings, Kim Noble, CHRISTEENE, Bourgeois and Maurice and David Hoyle.
Michael now works as a freelance arts PR.
He is also a board member of Pink Fringe.
